On Monday, Joe Biden visited Philadelphia to congratulate them for receiving a generous $22.4 million SAFER Grant.
This grant will fund firefighter salaries and benefits in the city, and it was awarded by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
It is clear that this grant is being seen as an important gesture of support from the federal government to those who are working hard on behalf of their communities.
Accompanied by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Biden spoke of his appreciation for the city’s efforts in providing these essential resources for their community.
It is no secret that Joe Biden’s health has been a major concern for many Americans. The former Vice President, now 77 years old, has displayed signs of cognitive decline throughout his 2020 campaign. Recently, reports have surfaced that the situation is much worse than most had thought.
One thing that should be noted from the outset is that this is not a political issue – regardless of ones’ political leanings, it is important to recognize when someone’s health and well-being are compromised. It has become increasingly clear that Joe Biden’s mental acuity has taken a turn for the worse in recent months.
The most obvious example of this decline can be seen in his public speaking engagements and interviews. Biden often appears confused or disoriented during these events, he speaks slowly and stumbles over words more frequently than before.
In some cases he even seems to lose track of what he was saying entirely! This behavior was recently on full display during an interview with CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell where Mr Biden appeared to struggle to answer basic questions about his foreign policy platform.
Monday’s attempt at speaking was yet another sad example.
