Adam Schiff Attempts to Cast Doubt on ‘Validity’ of GOP Subpoena ⋆ Rules for thee, but not for me! ⋆ Flag And Cross

For as mush as the Democrats love to preach to the rest of the nation about honesty, equality, and the overall gist of political fairness, (“no one is above the law” being their latest snarky mantra), they sure do dislike it when their feet are held to the same fire as everyone else’s.

Take Adam Schiff, for example:  One of the left’s most vociferous anti-GOP voices, who has spent far more time and energy lambasting his political rivals than he has legislating for his constituents.  Now, as he’s facing the threat of being subpoenaed by members of the Republican Party, Schiff is attempting to suggest that the they may not have the legal standing to do so.

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he would have to consider the validity of and House Republicans’ subpoena before complying with it.

Speaking with anchor Dana Bash…

Bash said, “We’re out of time but I have to ask. If you are subpoenaed by Republicans when they take over, will you comply?”

Schiff said, “We’ll have to consider the validity of the subpoena. I would certainly view my obligation, the administration’s obligation to follow the law and the fact that they have disrespected the law is not a precedent I would hope that would be broadly followed. We’ll have to look at the the legitimacy or lack of legitimacy of what they do.”

Once again, we find the Democrats adopting the attitude of “rule for thee but not for me”, and the sentiment certainly isn’t one that you’d expect to find favor with undecided voters in 2024.
