OPINION|. The news of Hunter Biden being indicted on gun charges is just broke. The son of President Joe Biden has been charged with a felony for illegally possessing a firearm.
This is yet another example of how the Democrats are the personification of hypocrisy. It’s no secret that the Democratic party cares more about their own political interests than they do about law and order, and this case is proof positive!
Instead of standing up for the rule of law, they have enabled this kind of blatant criminal behavior. How can we expect our youth to respect police officers when the Democrats allow people like Hunter Biden to get away with breaking the law?
The facts surrounding Hunter’s case are particularly troubling. He was found in possession of a .38-caliber handgun after he failed to present valid identification at a store in Delaware earlier this year.
According to reports, he purchased the weapon from a pawn shop before trying to take it across state lines without proper authorization. This shows complete disregard for the laws governing firearms possession and transport – laws which exist precisely to keep us safe from harm!
Moreover, it appears as though his father may have played some role in helping him cover up his actions. Reports have emerged indicating that Joe Biden was aware that Hunter had bought a gun but failed to report it or take any action against him despite knowing full well what he had done was illegal.
That’s simply unacceptable behavior from a sitting president! And now, instead of taking responsibility for his actions, Hunter is claiming innocence through his legal team – just another example of liberal hypocrisy at work here!
They say one thing but then do another; they talk about fairness and justice while disregarding basic principles like due process or equal protection under the law. It’s disgusting!
To be clear: I’m not saying that anyone who commits crimes should be locked up without trial or given special treatment because they’re related to important people in Washington DC – far from it! What I am saying is that there needs to be accountability and consequences for those who break our laws regardless of who they are – including politicians’ sons like Hunter Biden!
No one knows what will happen next in this story, but one thing’s certain: We need real leadership if we want our society to stay safe and secure going forward; leaders who won’t turn a blind eye, or worse yet, cover up illegal acts when criminals break our laws or try and get away with things just because they come from powerful families – something Joe Biden seems all too willing to do time after time again…
