2 members of the Tennessee National Guard were eliminated Wednesday when the helicopter they were riding in rolled from the skies and also exploded in flames in Huntsville, Alabama.
The guard members were flying in a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter that went down around 3 p.m. near Freeway 53 and Burwell Road, the Tennessee National Guard said in a news releaseWednesday evening.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of two Tennessee National Guardsmen, and also our prayers are with their households during this heartbreaking misfortune,” Brig. Gen. Detector Ross, Tennessee’s adjutant basic, stated in a declaration.
“We ask Tennesseans to join us in sustaining their families during this moment of unthinkable despair,” Ross said.
The launch did not supply specifics on the device involved or the names of those killed.

“It is early to discuss possible reasons for the collision. Like all military airplane problems, the occurrence will be investigated. The National Guard will certainly support police and other first -responders managing the collision website,” National Guard agent Robert Carver stated in a declaration, according to ABC Information.

The helicopter was swallowed up in fires when initial responders showed up, Don Webster, area connections supervisor of Huntsville Emergency Medical Solutions, said, according to The Nashville Tennessean.
“It was destroyed beyond recognition,” Webster claimed.
Witness Tammy Adams recalled watching the disaster unfold.
“I simply yelped, ‘My Lord! My God!’ Due to the fact that nobody can have survived that,” Adams said, according to WAAY-TVin Huntsville.
“We listened to an extremely loud– like a vehicle without a muffler, however we understood it was in the sky. Searching for in the air, we saw the helicopter, and bam! We hear it hit. We saw it struck the ground, and it exploded,” Adams stated.
