Friday night’s moviegoers in Pompano Beach, Florida got more than they bargained for when a violent attack occurred in the theater.
The perpetrator jumped an elderly man after he asked a couple to exit his pre-booked VIP seat. The 63-year-old victim was viciously attacked despite not fighting back.
Surveillance footage released by the Broward Country Sheriff’s office shows the man getting within inches of the victim before launching himself at him and throwing punches at his face.
Movie goers eventually stepped in to stop the assault and pull the suspect away.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that this happened, authorities have yet to apprehend a suspect as of this writing despite clear images of him captured on surveillance cameras leaving with his date after the incident occurred.
The victim was treated for several injuries to his head and face at a local hospital. This story is another sad example of why law enforcement must be tougher on crime – especially against those who maliciously attack innocent people for no reason!
We need justice for this poor elderly man who simply wanted what he paid for. We can only hope that whoever did this is brought to justice soon!
