Joe Biden is the oldest president in history, and his age has raised questions about how he can best serve as commander-in-chief.
Reports have surfaced that White House staffers treat him like a baby due to diminished mental faculties. As such, many conservatives have expressed concern over whether Biden is truly fit to hold office.
Biden’s mental state first came into question during his 2020 campaign when Tucker Carlson reported he was allegedly given pills supervised by Dr. Jill before every public appearance and changed drastically after taking them.
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre why White House staffers treat Joe Biden like a baby, to which she replied “No one treats the President of the United States – the Commander-in-Chief – like a baby.”

While this statement may be true at face value, it does not address the underlying issue of whether or not Biden can competently perform his duties as president without assistance from staff members acting more like custodians than aides.
The cognitive decline associated with aging has been widely studied, particularly among those suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.
According to one study published by Harvard Medical School in 2019, executive function (the ability to plan ahead, problem solve, and make decisions) tends to decline more dramatically than memory with age while social functioning remains relatively unaffected for some time.
It is possible that Joe Biden suffers from cognitive decline due to age and needs help from staff members in order to carry out his duties effectively as president, however, there is no way of knowing for sure without seeing medical records or conducting an assessment of his cognitive abilities.
In addition to physical changes related to aging that could affect Joe Biden’s cognitive functioning, it is also important to consider psychological factors that could play a role in how staff members interact with him on a daily basis.
Last year Tucker Carlson reported that Joe Biden was fed pills to function during his 2020 campaign, supervised by Dr. Jill. According to Tucker, Biden was ‘like a small child’ before the dosing.
