Marjorie Taylor-Files Motion to Vacate the Chair and Remove Mike

Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) has emerged as a staunch advocate for “America First” policies, representing a vocal minority within the Republican Party that seeks to prioritize the interests of American citizens above all else.

In a political landscape dominated by career politicians and establishment figures, MTG stands out as a bold and unapologetic voice for those who feel marginalized by the bipartisan “swamp” in Washington D.C.

Now, the GOP is set to have another round of House elections soon due to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) taking action.

She recently filed a motion to remove Mike Johnson as House Speaker because he handled the House Omnibus bill, which will fund the government until September 30.

The bill passed by a vote of 286-134, meeting the required 2/3 majority to prevent a government shutdown.

Despite facing rebellion from over 100 members of his own caucus, Democrats ultimately supported Johnson.

Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News was the first to report on MTG’s motion to vacate.

Sherman points out that MTG is up next to announce the resolution on the microphone.

He emphasizes that she must request privilege, or else her announcement will be disregarded by the House.

MTG, however, may have chosen to delay these actions for another day and departed the chamber after the Omnibus vote.

The House of Representatives is set to begin a two-week recess today, which means any prompt decision on vacating the chair will likely be postponed.
