The DOJ’s attempts to damage the reputation of Donald Trump just received a large boost this week, as one of the former President’s closest confidantes has complied with a weighty subpoena.
This time around it’s Mark Meadows who has succumbed to pressure from the Justice Department, who’ve been encircling Trump with a glut of investigations designed to tarnish his reputation ahead of any potential future campaign.
Meadows handed prosecutors the same documents that were requested via a subpoena also issued to him by the House Select Committee investigating the events leading up to the insurrection, according to CNN.

The former Chief of Staff was a rather large “get” for the department.
Meadows is now the highest-ranking Trump official known to have responded to a subpoena as part of the federal investigation into January 6, with experts highlighting possible legal issues this could mean for the former president.

Of course, this could be all for naught, as the Justice Department’s reticence in charging Trump with a crime, (any crime), has likely revealed that these probes are little more than political stunts aimed at influencing future elections.
