After four decades of hosting “Wheel of Fortune”, Pat Sajak has revealed his departure from the show. At the age of 76, Sajak took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the incredible journey, announcing that the upcoming 41st season would mark his farewell.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” he expressed in his tweet.

As for Sajak’s replacement, no official announcement has been made yet. However, online speculation hints at the possibility of his daughter, Maggie Sajak, a country music artist, stepping into his role.

So what’s next for Sajak? In a follow-up tweet, he joked he will keep the clickbait sites busy. “Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”

Sajak has been at the helm of the renowned game show since 1981, despite the program originally premiering in 1975 with Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford as hosts.

Notably, in September 2022, Sajak outpaced Bob Barker of “Price is Right”, earning the title of the longest-serving host in the history of game shows.
