Eight thrill-seekers found themselves trapped upside down on a rollercoaster ride at a Wisconsin festival this past Sunday.
The incident occurred at the Forest County Festival in Crandon, located roughly 230 miles to the north of Milwaukee.
The unfortunate riders on the Fire Ball ride were suspended in mid-air for a minimum of three hours while emergency services strived to rescue them securely.
“All we know that there is a mechanical failure with the ride where it became stuck in the upright position,” Capt. Brennan Cook of the Crandon Fire Department said to WJFW-TV. “The ride was recently inspected by the state of Wisconsin here on site and at this time, we do not have any other information.”

Fox News Digital has contacted both the festival coordinators and local authorities to gather more details about the incident.
A participant at the festival shared a picture on Facebook, capturing the attendees dangling upside down and claimed they had been in that precarious situation for four hours.
He reported that a young girl who was amongst the trapped urged the rescue team to prioritize an elderly man, as he appeared to be having a difficult time.
According to local news outlets, seven out of the eight individuals caught in the ride were children. Following the incident, all those involved were transported to a nearby hospital for a thorough health assessment.
