It feels almost silly when you think back and realize that the human race has really only been fiddling around in space for 70-ish years.
Sure, all of our technology evolves exponentially, that’s precisely a reflection of the way that we’re wired: To build on learned knowledge and advance whatever craft we wish. We’ve been doing it from spears to sewing machines, and it likely won’t end until A.I. takes over. (And even then, we’re talking about a man-made escalation of civilization…for better or for worse).
But, to be fair, it still seems rather shocking to discover that our government would try to sneak a secret space plane under our nose.
A secret, unmanned US Space Force X-37B ship landed early on Saturday after spending a record 908 days in orbit, causing Florida residents to fear it was a UFO after hearing sonic booms.
The solar-powered vehicle, which looks like a miniature space shuttle, landed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center around 5.15am on Saturday after launching in May 2020 on its sixth mission. Its previous mission lasted 780 days.

Its unexpected return left some Central Floridians fearing for their life as a loud sonic boom sounded in the early morning hours and houses shook when the spacecraft returned to earth.
The re-entry created a significant disturbance.
The boom could be heard from Titusville to Kissimmee, according to Fox 29.
The “secret” aircraft can be seen below:
