Baseball is the national pastime, no ifs, ands, or buts. This is the game that we all know and understand, and we can take the experience as seriously as we want to.
Some of us bring a scoresheet and keep the game log along the way. Some spend hours a day playing fantasy baseball online. Meanwhile, a rather large contingent of us like to catch a game or two a year, soaking up the ambiance of the game while socializing.
This latter version of baseball fandom is so popular, in part, because of the peculiar treats that one can find to eat within the stadiums of America. Cold beer, peanuts, popcorn, and hot dogs are all fan favorites, certainly, but one man in Yankees’ stadium is forever changing the way we think about coliseum cuisine…and social media users are furious.
A video posted to social media showed one fan enjoying the game with an odd combination – a hot dog in a beer. The fan bit the tips of the hot dog and stuck it into his drink. He then was seen using it as a straw.
