Karl Rove Has Wild Guess as to Identity of the Mar-a-Lago Mole ⋆ Now that’s an interesting theory. ⋆ Flag And Cross

As the fallout over the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago continues to develop, there are still a number of rather puzzling questions looming in the political ether.

And perhaps the wildest question left to answer has to do with how the National Archives came to know that Trump was storing certain documents at Mar-a-Lago in the first place, as the former President surely didn’t offer up that sort of information preemptively.

Now, the senior adviser to another Republican President thinks that he may know who fed this information to the feds.

Former Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush suggested a Secret Service member could be the mole in the Mar-a-Lago raid who reported Trump for stashing top-secret documents because they ‘have the responsibility to report a crime.’

Karl Rove, 71, theorized a Secret Service member ratted out the former president because they’re ‘sworn law enforcement’ and had a responsibility to report if they’ve seen the materials that Trump’s lawyers allegedly claimed weren’t there.

Rove seemed to be throwing his weight behind the idea that Trump could be in some legal trouble.

‘The Secret Service — and this is my own personal conjecture, I have no information besides the Secret Service is there — they have no statutory responsibility over classified material, but they are sworn federal law officers, they’re law enforcement. And they have a responsibility to report a crime,’ he told Fox News.

Rove would also suggest that the National Archives themselves would have been able to verify which materials were still in their possession, making it possible that they instigated the investigation themselves.
